Bear Creek Camp lives in the paradox of modern and comfortable, yet rustic and natural facilities. We know that the important learning, growth, and connections of camp cannot occur without first meeting the needs of comfort and safety for all campers and guests.
Each program site features 8 bunk-style cabins that sleep up to 10 with electricity and heat. Lodging is serviced by the Program Building which includes full kitchen, gathering space with fireplace, restrooms and showers. Each program site also includes picnic tables for outdoor gathering and an outdoor firepit.
The Retreat Center consists of 6 bunk-style cabins that each sleep up to 12. Fully equipped with electricity and heat as well as private restroom and shower facilities. Connected to the Dining Hall, the Retreat Center Cabins form our courtyard.
The Retreat House includes 3 sleeping rooms for up to 14 guests and private restrooms and showers on the upper level. The lower level includes a full kitchen, meeting space with fireplace, and restrooms. A wrap-around porch and easy access to the birch field firepit make this a perfect facility for youth groups and other small family gatherings.
The Dining Hall is the centerpiece of Bear Creek Camp. Three flexible meeting spaces accommodate groups of all sizes. The lower level houses the Rec Room which includes carpetball, ping pong, air hockey and foosball tables. Restrooms are available on both the top and bottom levels.
This open air, open floor plan shelter can accommodate groups up to 200 in auditorium seating or a variety of other configurations and activities. Restrooms are available seasonally.
Overlooking Bear Creek and nestled within the forest, the Sanctuary provides a space apart for worship and reflection. Fixed multi-level seating will accommodate up to 150 guests.
Our five-acre stream-fed lake is perfect for summer swimming and kayaking and canoeing into the fall. Our waterfront area is highlighted by a 40′ x 25′ covered pavilion for group gatherings, picnics, changing areas, and time out of the sun. The beach provides plenty of open space to enjoy time with friends, relax and play in the sand. To ensure the safety of all campers and guests, a certified lifeguard must be on duty for all swimming activities and lifejackets must be worn by all boaters.
Nestled in the heart of the forest, with bench seating for up to 200, the Bonfire Circle serves a central role in summer camp activities and can be utilized by guest groups throughout the year.
High and low ropes experiences are perfect for groups and teams to grow through facilitated activities that challenge physically, mentally, and socially. Our high ropes course features fourteen traverse elements, giant’s ladder, leap of faith, flying squirrel, crate stacking, and a 300 foot zipline. Our low ropes course includes twelve team building elements. Our two rock walls are sheltered within the pavilion and feature routes of varying difficulty. Trained Bear Creek Camp staff are required for use of any high or low ropes elements.
