What is a Junior Counselor?

A Junior Counselor is an opportunity open to those who have just graduated from High School. The Junior Counselor program will include one week of training before the summer starts and at least a 4 week commitment for the summer (you can work all 8 weeks if you would like to!) There will also be ongoing training and bonding times for throughout the week with the other Junior Counselors.

As a Junior Counselor you will be working with another counselor throughout the camp day with your campers. Most responsibilities and duties that our counselors have throughout the day also are given to our Junior Counselors. We see this as a great way to give you a taste of what a summer will be like as a counselor, with the opportunity of a slightly lesser time commitment throughout the summer.

There is compensation for the position as well. We will pay $75/week, full room and board (even on the weekends) and will also give you a free week of camp for you to use sometime throughout the summer.

If you have any more questions in regard to the Junior Counselor program, contact Pete Smith.
