Leadership with the Spirit

If you are completing 10th, 11th or 12th grade this spring, and are ready to explore what it means to be a leader in this world, serving out of gratitude and compassion, celebrating your Spiritual Gifts to live fully into who God created you to be, join us for a week and expect to grow in ways you haven’t even imagined.

Romans 12:6-10 New International Version (NIV)

” We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach;  if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. “

What will I experience if I am accepted into Leadership with The Spirit?

It’s camp, so expect lots and lots of fun including:

  • High and Low Ropes Challenges
  • Swimming
  • Camp Fires
  • A one night overnight
  • Singing
  • Hiking
  • Lots of time to hang out with friends old and new

Because you have decided to challenge yourself you can also expect to participate in:

  • Team Building with your fellow leaders
  • Discussions and workshops on what leadership is and specifically, what it means to be a servant leader as you live out your faith
  • A workshop and coaching on who you are created to be, using the Grip Birkman Blueprint. You will gain valuable insight into your Spiritual Gifts, your personality type, and your areas of interest. You will gain a new perspective on how you function as part of a team, whether you lead from the front or alongside. You will have a chance to explore your interests, organizational and intellectual styles and what that all might mean as far as who and what you were created to be.
  • A workshop on conflict resolution where you will gain some insight into your style of dealing with conflict, the styles of others, and how you can learn to be more of a peacemaker and gain some ability to find solutions that are beneficial to all involved.
  • A workshop on problem solving and creative thinking that will not only be some of the most fun you have all week, but it will help you see that God does not always call the equipped but rather, He equips the called. This is a chance to really challenge and surprise yourself
  • A workshop that is useful to leaders in any environment which focuses on different learning and communication styles. This will give you some practice in recognizing all of God’s kids as your brothers and sisters and to work on ways to lead in and out of your comfort zone
  • A focused time every day to participate in lively discussions and activities designed to explore what “servant leadership” looks like in the Bible.
  • An off-site field trip to experience Servant Leadership.
  • Oh yeah, let’s not forget — lots of fun!
  • Participants in this program have the option to stay for a second week at no charge and practice the leadership skills they have learned by working alongside our counselors and being leaders for our regular campers.

We are limited to only 20 Leadership Participants for this program and we are expecting it to fill quickly. If you are ready for a growth-filled week of gaining fresh perspective into who God created you to be and how you can be a stronger leader, learning new skills that you can apply immediately and which will serve you for the rest of your life, then we want you to be one of those 20.

Simply register for the program and we will email an application and essay to fill out. Once we receive your essay we will contact you to discuss it and answer any of your questions.

You are a leader, fearfully and wonderfully made…
