Hailing from the Midwest, Dan Scharnhorst brings energy, creativity and passion to the leadership role at Bear Creek Camp. His experience includes executive director duties at Big Brothers Big Sisters in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin; Director of Youth Ministries at First English – Peace Lutheran Parish, Oshkosh, WI; Program Coordinator and Director of Development roles at Riverside Lutheran Bible Camp in Story City, Iowa; and ongoing motivational speaking engagements for audiences of youth to adults. Dan enjoys partnering with the synods and their congregations to help make Bear Creek Camp an even more dynamic, exciting and faith-forming place where relationships are built, groups are strengthened and God’s word is central.

Bear Creek Camp is a great place to meet new friends, grow in your faith, worship, pray, hike, climb, swim and have fun! BCC has been providing wonderful life changing experiences for thousands of people since 1974. We are grateful for all that God is doing here at this amazing place.
